Measuring the Perceptions of Sustainability Initiatives Within A University Campus Community
From Spring 2020-Spring 2022 Sustainability Coordinator, Emma Parsley, and Professor of Agricultural Sciences, Dr. Tina Marie Cade, conducted the very first sustainability culture assessment of Texas State University. The purpose of this project was to determine awareness of and attitudes toward current and potential campus sustainability initiatives with the intent of using the information to establish a campus sustainability development plan that included priorities for the campus community. The surveyed campus community reported that Waste Management is the most important sector for sustainable campus development and Transportation is the least important sector for sustainable campus development.
