The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment inspires research, education, and stewardship to protect water and natural resources, connecting people to Spring Lake and fostering a deeper understanding of Texas’ unique aquatic ecosystems.
Texas Master Naturalist
The Texas Master Naturalist program trains volunteers to understand and care for local ecosystems and natural resources. The Hays County Chapter supports hands-on education, habitat restoration, and community outreach throughout the region.
Indigenous Cultures Institute
The Indigenous Cultures Institute is a nonprofit dedicated to preserving and promoting the culture, arts, traditions, and ceremonies of Indigenous peoples of Texas, especially the Coahuiltecan Miakan-Garza Band, through education and community programs.
