Sustainability 101: An Introduction to Sustainable Living for First Year Bobcats

Incorporating information from each of the other five modules, this lesson gives students a crash course on what sustainability looks like for Bobcats, offering a holistic overview of stewardship for freshman living on campus.

We Are What We Drink: A Bobcat's Guide to Campus Water Resources

Students will learn the basic mechanics of Central Texas groundwater resources and the role of the Bobcat community in conserving water in times of scarcity.

Our Habitat, Our Home: Endangered, Threatened, and Endemic Species of the Edwards Aquifer

This module introduces students to the five species native to the San Marcos River, as well as best practices for the preservation of habitat in riverside parks and access points.

Living the Loop: Recycling and Waste Management for First Year Bobcats

Students will learn the importance of waste reduction and how to practice diversion of material from landfills while living in campus housing.

Go Local, Go San Marcos: Growing Community Roots as a First Year Bobcat

Students will learn how and where to connect to the greater San Marcos community through supporting local businesses, exploring public third places, and contributing to local volunteer efforts.
