The Bike Cave at Texas State University is an on-campus, student-run bike shop that provides sales, maintenance, and hands-on education to support everyday riding for Bobcats. As an eco-friendly transportation hub, it helps students choose biking over driving by offering affordable repairs, refurbished bikes, and resources for safe, sustainable travel around campus and San Marcos.

Research
The Micromobility Lab research group brings together faculty, staff, and community partners to study how urban design, transportation infrastructure, and real-world travel patterns shape everyday movement. By examining how people navigate streets and public spaces, the research team aims to develops resilient strategies that support safer travel, healthier communities, and personal wellbeing.
Shared Scooter Program
To encourage micromobility and reduce car dependency, Texas State is partnering with a shared scooter provider to give Bobcats an easy, affordable way to travel around campus and town with lower environmental impact. Always ride safely, park scooters in designated areas, and wear a helmet to help keep yourself and others safe.
